Следы пандемии не проходят бесследно. Ассоциация футзала и Федерация футбола Молдовы приложила немало усилий, чтобы доиграть сезон-2019/20 для определения чемпиона и последующего его участия в Лиге чемпионов. Обстоятельства и определенные действия не позволили этого сделать.
В итоге чемпион определен не был. Ассоциация футзала Молдовы делегировала для участия в Лиге чемпионов-2020/21 прошлогоднего чемпиона «Динамо».
Сегодня Европейский футбольный союз прислал письмо, в котором говорится, что в сезоне-2020/21 от Молдовы в самом престижном европейском клубном турнире никто не сыграет. Причина – чемпион не был определен по спортивному принципу. Такое решение принял Комитет по соревнованиям УЕФА.
